Zanzibar is an important part of the United Republic of Tanzania, a beautiful archipelago located to the east of the African continent and in the western part of the Indian Ocean. 

The traditional friendship between the people of China and Zanzibar has a long history, and the friendly cooperation between China and Zanzibar is an essential component of the mutually beneficial and comprehensive cooperative partnership between China and Tanzania. As the first consular institution established by New China in Africa, the Chinese Consulate General in Zanzibar will continue to uphold its fine traditions, strive to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the people of China and Zanzibar, and continuously promote friendly exchanges and cooperation between both sides, contributing to the construction of a new era of an all-weather China-Africa community with a shared future advocated by President Xi Jinping. At the same time, we will faithfully practice the people-centered diplomatic philosophy, actively provide consular services to Chinese institutions and citizens in Zanzibar, and protect their legitimate rights and interests.
