On December 30, Consul General Li Qianghua met with Minister Nassor Mazui at the Ministry of Health in Zanzibar at his invitation.

Minister Mazui began by welcoming Consul General Li’s assumption of office. He highlighted the achievements of China-Zanzibar medical cooperation this year, including the Chinese medical team, the schistosomiasis control program, the cervical cancer screening project, and the bilateral pediatric training course. He then expressed gratitude for China’s strong support and assistance to Zanzibar’s healthcare sector. He expressed his hope for further strengthening medical and health cooperation between Zanzibar and China.

Consul General Li expressed his honor at assuming office in beautiful Zanzibar. He noted the long history of friendly cooperation between China and Zanzibar in the medical and health sectors. China is committed to working with Zanzibar to build upon their traditional friendship, contribute to the China-Africa health community, and elevate their cooperation in health and medicine.

After the meeting, the two sides exchanged gifts and took commemorative photos.
